Chanar Pulow 

Introduction: Paneer or Indian Cottage Cheese makes this fried rice an excellent serving for a grand lunch or dinner. 
Recipe:
Preparation time 20 minutes
Cooking time 10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 cup Basmati Rice Soaked in water for an hour and then spread out to dry on a plate
100gms Paneer or Indian Cottage Cheese, cut into large cubes
1 Large Onion sliced into rings
3 Table Spoon Desi Ghee
2 Bay leaves
1 inch Cinnamon
3-4 Cloves
3-4 Green Cardamom
¼ teaspoon Kashmiri Degi Mirch or Sweet Paprika Powder
3 cups of hot water
Instructions:
>In a deep and heavy bottom pan heat Ghee
>Fry the Onions till golden brown, remove from ghee and keep aside
>Now add bay leaf, clove, cardamom and cinnamon to the pan
>Add the Paneer pieces and fry till golden brown
>Now add the rice to the pan and stir for a minute
>Add the Paprika Powder and sprinkle salt
>Add 3 cups of hot water, stir well, cover and simmer on a slow heat
>Cook for 5 minutes or till the rice is done, allow the water to be absorbed
>Adjust salt
>Transfer to a platter and top with fried onions, serve immediately
Tip: Stir carefully not to break the grains of rice
