Elaichi or Cardamon
Ancient spice merchants of Travancore used to trade Cardamom globally. Grown in Southern Part of India, Cardamom attracted foreign traders to Indian Spice market for ages. Theophrastus in the 400 BC, mentioned about Cardamom. The aromatic pods used abundantly in India, in cooking, in sweets and deserts, even in making masala chai.
